Because there will be no more tower sharing, our region will have less AT&T coverage (than Alltel) and less Verizon coverage.
And I personally cant get a cheaper plan with Verizon - they're considerably higher than AT&T. I shopped hard and thought about it for months before deciding to try AT&T.
One way or another, service will be a little less for both sides.
The FCC is requiring AT&T to keep the CDMA portion of the "Alltel" towers up and running for the next three years and honor all roaming agreements with CDMA carriers. So Verizon will still have sharing capabilities off of these towers. AT&T service will not be as good as Alltel service is now however because like you said they will not be allowed to tower share because of the different technologies.Quote:

I never recieved an email or text so I called them and they put me through to India and the woman told me that it was sent back to their warehouse , WTF!!! They had to make a new order and it would ship out in 3 to 5 business days. These tracking numbers they give you are bogus numbers I believe because I checked a few minutes ago and they said my new order was shipped out today and delivered to a address in Texas. WTF!!!!
Did it say accepted or delivered? My order says accepted in TX but not delivered. But my order says shipped. Woot!!! Woot!!! LoL
Looks like I'm getting the same ?s as everyone else with shipping.
I called AT&T customer service, was told my order had shipped, and got the USPS tracking number.
This is the message I got from USPS.com tracking
Your item was accepted at 11:19 am on December 12, 2010 in FORT WORTH, TX 76161. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.
I hate the USPS tracking system. It seems to be that nobody knows how to scan a box when it enters or leaves a place. I have no problem tracking things from UPS or Fed Ex, but every time something ships from USPS it will say that my item was accepted and not update again until after it is delivered.
I was gonna say the exact same thing. For all of those expecting to get an update from USPS to track shipping are crazy. I order all kinds of things on a weekly basis and FedEx/UPS/DHL are not bad at all and update their sites daily, HOWEVER, when it comes to the USPS you will receive your product before they update the site so it's a complete waste of time to get all excited to track it. The good thing is it says shipped. I would imagine we should receive them either tomorrow or Thursday.Quote:

Just got off the phone with an ATT transition rep at (18779309015) and they informed me the transition will take place at the end of January.
Wonder by next summer if we will have ATT yet...
